Syracuse to Vacate 108 Wins NCAA Says

Earlier this season, Syracuse decided to self-impose a past season ban for this season due to an on going NCAA investigation into it's mens basketball program. Now, let me start by saying how funny it is that they ban themselves from this post season when they have absolutely no shot whatsoever of even making it in the first place. Now that that is out of the way, here's what the NCAA had to say about their investigation.

Jim Boeheim will be suspended fro the 1st 9 conference games in 2015-16. (The most ANY coach has ever received from the NCAA)

All wins in which ineligible players played from 2004-07 and 2010-12 will be vacated. ( The 2003 title will NOT be affected).

There will also be a loss of 12 scholarships over the next four years and some recruiting restrictions were implemented as well.

The NCAA accepted self-imposed postseason ban this season; no further postseason ban will be implemented.

So, that's some pretty stiff penalties from the NCAA if you really think about it. over 108 and wins will have to be vacated and Jim will be suspended the first nine conference games for next year. The Cuse had better count their blessings, they came very close to being the first school in history who would have to vacate a National Championship. Speaking of which, it sure would be nice if the all mighty NCAA would release their findings during their investigation in to UNC.. Just sayin'.
