Kentucky Outlasts #6 Texas, 63-51

Kentucky wins 63-51 over #6 Texas and moves to 8-0 in a game that was ugly, hard fought and full of fouls for both teams (the refs called a total of 51 fouls between both clubs).

The player of the game is without question, Willie Cauley-Stein. His stat line reads 21 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks and 5 steals. He was all over the floor doing everything the Cats needed him to do to pull out the win. Also, with his 21 points, Willie becomes the first Kentucky player to break the 20 point mark this season. That just shows you how well balanced this team is.

In closing. If Kentucky plays this bad (their worst showing of the season by far) and still beats a top ten team by double digits, I'm not sure what it will take for a team to beat the Cats. Not saying they won't get beat, I'm just saying it will take a tremendous effort by the opponent and an equal effort by Kentucky to be bad.
