NBA Scout: Harrison Twins Are Border-Line First Round Picks

As I'm sure all of you by now know, Kentucky had somewhat of an NBA Combine on it's campus last weekend. The Combine seen 90 representatives from the NBA (every NBA had at least one rep on campus) show up in Lexington to watch Kentucky players participate in various workouts so they could be evaluated on their abilities.

Once the combine was over, you didn't hear much about what the NBA scouts thought of individual players or what the experience was like for the team. To be honest, the NBA scouts aren't aloud to talk about potential draft prospects and I'm not sure if the players technically are aloud to talk about the event considering some of the dumb rules the NCAA has.

Well, early this morning, Zagsblog.com has a great article up that give a little bit of insight on what at least one NBA scout seen during the combine. Here's a little sample from the article...

"Karl Towns is their best prospect and it’s not close, it’s not close,” said the scout, speaking on the condition of anonymity because he’s not permitted to comment on draft prospects.
“He’s only going to get better. Outside of [Duke's Jahlil] Okafor, those are probably the two best big offensive players in college. He’s that good. At 6-11, 7 feet tall, he’s got a lot of offensive talent, he really does. He can score from the perimeter and he can score down on the block. He can do both. He’s very talented, very talented."

Even though the scout had to speak on the condition of anonymity, you can tell that he is really excited about what he sees out of the freshman big-man. While reading his excitement, you can't help but feel yours grow as the anticipation for the start of the season becomes unbearable. It's a really good article and one that I think you should read as there is a lot of good information regarding this particular NBA scout's opinion on Kentucky's players as of right now.

One other thing I found interesting in the article is the fact that this guy called the Harrison Twins, Dakari Johnson and Alex Poythress borderline first-round or sure-fire second round picks. Looks like the Twins and the others have a lot to prove this season and you can only hope that will drive them to prove people wrong.
