Kentucky vs. Montevallo Preview

After the exhibition against Transylvania where the Cats left fans wanting to see an improvement, the Montevall Falcons roll into Lexington to take their shot at the Nations #1 ranked team.

If you're anything like me, then you have never heard of Montevallo not to mention don't know anything about them, so let's take a look at some highlights of the Falcons….

I'm not going to give you the players stats because like I said, I know absolutely NOTHING about this team. I didn't even know they existed until Kentucky released this years schedule.

One thing I will say is the Cats will have to have a better start then what they did last week. Only one or two guys (Julius Randle and James Young) played with any sort of energy or passion in the first half. Sure, the second half looked a little better, but they have got to learn to jump on teams quickly to keep their opponents from gaining any sort of confidence.

However, it's entirely too soon to worry about this team as they are still learning Cal's system and how to play together. This team has the potential to be special and trust me, they will be. We have never seen this amount of talent on one team and just the thought of what they could accomplish is enough to make a fan some what giddy. But, the reality is they have to actually play the games before we place such lofty praise upon them.

One thing is for sure, this is going to be one helluva season and possibly one that will go down in history as one of the best…
