Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt Will Go On Despite Old Man Winter

Despite winter weather conditions in the Lexington area, Saturday’s Kentucky men’s basketball game vs. Vanderbilt in Rupp Arena is still scheduled for a 4 p.m. tipoff. Unless otherwise announced by UK Athletics, the game will be played as scheduled.

Vanderbilt arrived in Lexington, Ky., on Thursday in preparation for a winter storm that has dumped large snowfall accumulations across Central Kentucky. The Wildcats returned from their Thursday night game in Fayetteville, Ark., late Thursday night.

Rupp Arena doors will open Saturday 90 minutes prior to tip. UK Athletics is encouraging all fans to use proper discretion when deciding to attend. UK Athletics recommends fans attending Saturday’s game give themselves ample time to arrive at Rupp Arena and to take caution where conditions are hazardous.

For fans that have purchased tickets and are unable to make it to the game, there are options to transfer tickets to another guest or to resell them via TicketExchange. Fans can find details on how to transfer or resell their tickets with the UK Ticket Office’s digital ticket guide at bit.ly/UK-Ticket-Guide.

TicketExchange is the only resale marketplace authorized by UK Athletics. By integrating with UK’s Ticketmaster software, TicketExchange uses barcode verification to ensure the authenticity of tickets and provides fans reliable access to purchase tickets for games. No other websites can provide barcode verification when buying tickets to UK home games.

Fans can search for tickets on TicketExchange by visiting UKathletics.com/TicketExchange. Authentic resale tickets can also be purchased directly on Ticketmaster.com using the interactive seat map.

The Rupp Arena Box Office windows will open at 2:30 p.m. for will call and ticket assistance.
