Cats SURVIVE Barn Burner In Baton Rouge 71-69

SON OF A..... Damn what a game. This game had it all. The excitement in the first of LSU coming out and playing (OF COURSE) like the Boston Celtics from the 80's. The Tigers was hitting every single shot they put up and their big men played like NBA All-Stars which they very well may be one day.

The Cats grabbed the lead late in the first half and built on that lead throughout the second, to be honest, it looked as if they would runaway with it. In-fact, they built at one time, a 13 point lead until.... the dreaded technical foul called on Karl Anthony-Towns for hanging on the rim after a missed dunk. And before you start your complaining, it was the right call. You cannot pull your chin up to the rim because you will get T'd up, no questions.

Then came the final 10 minutes. After the technical foul call, LSU went on an insane run and eventually took a four point lead with a little over two minutes left to go. It was nerve racking to say the least. This was the best test this team has seen this season without question. How LSU is in danger of missing the NCAA Tournament is beyond me.

Long story short, Kentucky wins a barn burner in Baton Rouge 71-69. Next game is Saturday against South Carolina.

Also, forgot to mention the play of Willie Cauley-Stein who finished the game with 15 points, 7 rebounds and ALL SIX OF KENTUCKY'S DUNKS. This kid is beyond impressive.

More to come as we receive it.
