Team Records and Series Notes

• Kentucky is now 11-3 (1-1 Southeastern Conference) on the season and LSU is 9-5 (2-0 SEC).
• Kentucky is 0-2 in true road games this season.
• Kentucky leads the all-time series 86-26.
• Kentucky leads 30-18 in Baton Rouge.
• The loss ended a UK two-game winning streak in the series.

In the First Half

• Kentucky started with the lineup of Tyler Ulis, Isaiah Briscoe, Jamal Murray, Alex Poythress and Marcus Lee for the second game in a row, and the second time this season.
• Kentucky scored the first two points of the game on two made Ulis free throws. The Wildcats did not lead again.
• Kentucky shot a season-worst 32 percent from the field (9 of 28) in the first half. The nine made first-half field goals also tied the season low (vs. Arizona State).
• LSU led by as many as 14 at the 1:12 mark in the first half.
• Kentucky trailed by 10 at halftime, UK’s second largest halftime deficit of the season (12 vs. Ohio State).

In the Second Half

• Kentucky cut the deficit to four points, 58-54 with a Poythress layup at the at the 9:36 mark.
• Over the following 0:45 of game time, LSU went on an 8-2 run getting three points on consecutive offensive possessions, and had an and-one (missed the free throw) on the next possession to take a 66-56 lead.
• LSU opened the lead up to as much as 18, 81-63, at the 1:15 mark.

Team Notes

• Kentucky extended its streak of 953 consecutive games with at least one 3-point basket when Mychal Mulder connected from distance at the 7:17 mark in the first half.
• Coach John Calipari has a 646-181 (.781) all-time record, including a 201-41 (.831) mark at Kentucky.  
• The loss snapped Kentucky’s 19-game winning streak in regular-season SEC contests. Kentucky’s nine-game SEC road-game winning streak also ended. Both streaks began at the start of last season.
• LSU scored 44 points in the paint, the most by a UK opponent this year.
• Kentucky committed 25 fouls, tied for the second most this year (vs. Ole Miss). UK was called for 27 fouls at UCLA.
• UK is now 0-2 this season wan allowing 80-plus points (UCLA scored 87).
• LSU’s 30 made field goals, 46 rebounds and 17 assists were the most by a UK opponent this season.
• UK’s 67 points were tied for the fewest UK scored in a game this season (vs. Ohio State).

Player Notes  

• Sophomore Tyler Ulis compiled a career-high 23 points. He dished six assists.
• Ulis has scored 20-plus points in three straight
• Ulis is the first UK player to have a string of 20-point games since Julius Randle in 2013.
• Freshman Jamal Murray had 21 points, his 12^th consecutive double-figure game.  
• He has made at least one 3-point shot in every game this season, the first player in program history to make a triple in each of his first 14 games.
• Junior Mychal Mulder had career highs with five points and eight rebounds.
• He made his first career 3-pointer at the 7:17 mark. 
• He also connected for the first two made free throws of his career.  
• Freshman Isaiah Briscoe grabbed six rebounds, one off his career high.
