In a very classy move by John Calipari, Sam Malone, Brian Long and Todd Lanter got the start on Senior Day as they should have.
The first thirty minutes of this game was about as ugly as the Cats has looked all season long. Florida got to the basket with ease time after time to the point the Cal and the rest of BBN was ready to pull their hair out. Kentucky just seemed disinterested and showed no energy whatsoever. Until the last eight minutes of the second half.
That when Karl Anthony-Towns took over on the defensive and offensive end of the floor. Just look at his final stat line for the game. 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocked shots most of which came in the second half when the Cats needed it most.
I'll save you the boring stuff and let you celebrate Kentucky's FIRST EVER UNDEFEATED REGULAR SEASON with a record of 31-0 going into post season play.
**********NOTE**********
CBS announcer, Ian Eagle came up with possibly the BEST nickname I have ever heard when it comes to Kentucky's front-court. When the Cats got one of their eight blocks today, Eagle said that the Gators were having trouble solving the Lexington Skyline. I think that name will stick and should be put on a T-shirt immediately.
