Kentucky has announced its 2014-15 men's basketball non-conference schedule, which is highlighted by five of the winningest programs in college basketball history.
The Wildcats will face off against some of the most tradition-laden teams in the history of the sport including, Kansas, Texas, North Carolina, UCLA and Louisville, all of whom are among the top 20 winningest programs in college basketball.
Kentucky will open with a pair of games in Rupp Arena against Grand Canyon University on Nov. 14and Buffalo on Nov. 16 in the 2014 Cawood Ledford Classic.
For the fourth straight year, UK participates in the State Farm Champions Classic, taking on Kansas on Nov. 18 in Indianapolis.
The Wildcats will return home for three straight games, including a tilt with Boston (Nov. 21) and the final two games of the Cawood Ledford Classic against Montana State (Nov. 23) and UT-Arlington (Nov. 25).
Kentucky closes out November hosting Providence on Nov. 30 in Rupp Arena.
The Wildcats will ring in December with four straight home games beginning with the SEC/Big 12 Challengeon Dec. 5, when the Texas Longhorns come to Lexington. Kentucky will then host Eastern Kentucky (Dec. 7), Columbia (Dec. 10) and North Carolina (Dec. 13) before heading to Chicago to take on UCLA in the inaugural CBS Sports Classic on Dec. 20.
UK closes out the 2014 calendar year against in-state rival Louisville on Dec. 27.
Prior to regular-season action, Kentucky hosts a pair of in-state exhibition games. The first will be Nov. 2 against Pikeville, followed by a matchup against Georgetown Collegeon Nov. 7.
