I have never cried during the NBA Draft in my life, that is until tonight. Isaiah Austin of Baylor was looking to be drafted fairly high in this years draft, until a physical showed something that would end his career.
Austin was diagnosed with a heart condition that made it impossible to continue competitive basketball. Instead of ignoring the situation, the NBA and Adam Silver showed nothing but pure class as they staged a NBA Draft selection just so Austin could fulfill his dream of walking across the stage and shaking the commissioners hand as if he had been picked just like he should have.
It's good to see people still have a heart and care about others. Well done NBA, well done. Hats off.
