The holidays are over and school is out for a couple more weeks for college students. That can only mean one thing, Camp Cal is well underway. For those of you that aren't sure what Camp Cal is, it's exactly what it sounds like, nothing but practice, practice, practice.
During the holiday break there is no restriction on how much a coach can practice his team and Calipari takes full advantage of the extra time every year. They practice almost everyday going twice sometimes three times a day, and it's usually after this break when we see Cal's teams take a turn for the better if they're going to.
If you're concerned about free-throw shooting or defense or even team leadership, you're not alone. Cal understands the fans' concerns and took to Twitter/Facebook to set the fans at ease with the following message...
"What I said two years ago and three years ago, if you enjoy the growth of this team, you're going to enjoy the season a lot more. At the end of the year, this team should be a lethal offensive team, a smothering defensive team and a 70 percent free-throw shooting team. That's what we should be. We're not right now, but we're working on it. If you know the mental picture I have of this team, you know it's not going to happen overnight. Enjoy the path!"
Bring on the SEC...
