On the heels of being arrested for a very disturbing domestic-violence case in which he was charged with seven felonies (three counts of domestic abuse, two counts of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, one count of kidnapping and one count of violating a protective order) SI.com is reporting that former Kentucky player, DeAndre Liggins has been waived by the Oklahoma City Thunder. This should come as no surprise if you had kept up with his case at all. It certainly doesn't sound good for Liggins just by reading the charges. I hate to hear this as DeAndre is one of my favorite players of the last 10 years.
DeAndre is back in Lexington, Ky this weekend for Kentucky's upcoming annual Alumni Game set to take place Monday September 9.
Let's just hope everything gets cleared up in this case and DeAndre can get back on track with his NBA career.
