Calipari Sends Wilter a Message
Kyle Wiltjer Will Transfer To Gonzaga
It is being reported that Kyle Wiltjer has made his decision to transfer to Gonzaga, something we kinda expected all along. Apparently, Kyle moved out of Wildcat Lodge last night and is ready to leave Lexington.
I'm not going to lie, I hate to see Kyle leave as I think he could have ended up having a very good career at Kentucky, but I understand him wanting to transfer versus taking a redshirt season.
Good luck Kyle....

Landon Foster On 2013 Ray Guy Award Preseason Watch List
Kentucky sophomore punter receives preseason honor after strong rookie campaign
LEXINGTON, Ky. –On the heels of the best freshman season a Wildcat punter has ever had, University of Kentucky sophomore punter Landon Foster has been named as one of 25 players nationally to the 2013 Ray Guy Award Preseason Watch List, which annual honors the nation’s top collegiate punter, the Augusta Sports Council announced Wednesday.
The 25 candidates on the list incorporate a broad spectrum of Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) punters. Returning Ray Guy Award semifinalists from 2012 include Kyle Christy (Florida), Steven Clark (Auburn) Tyler Williams (Marshall) and Kirby Van Der Kamp (Iowa State). Foster is one of five sophomore punters to make the list this season and one of three Southeastern Conference punters on the 2013 watch list. A full list of preseason nominees is below.
Foster’s naming to the prestigious list marks the third time in the last four seasons that Kentucky has had a punter listed on the preseason watch list. Former UK punter Ryan Tydlacka made the preseason watch list for the award in 2010 and 2011.
The number of eligible candidates for this season will grow when the award opens for nominations in September. The complete list of candidates will be released on Oct. 25. In early November, the Ray Guy Award committee will meet to select the 10 semifinalists who will be announced on Nov. 8. A national body of FBS sports information directors, coaches, media representatives, and previous Ray Guy Award winners will then vote for the top three finalists, to be announced on Nov. 25. After the finalists are named, the voting body will cast ballots again to select the nation’s top punter. The winner will be announced live during The Home Depot College Football Awardsairing on ESPN on Thursday, Dec. 12.
Foster had an immediate impact for the Wildcats last season as a true freshman handling all of the punting responsibilities and posting a 42.9 yards-per-punt average – the best mark ever by a UK freshman punter. The strong season led Foster to Freshman All-America honors byScout.com andCollegeFootballNews.com, while SEC coaches tabbed Foster a Freshman All-SEC performer. The native of Franklin, Tenn., averaged a season-high 50.7 yards in UK’s win over Kent State, while his longest punt was a 58-yard blast against Arkansas. In all, Foster trapped UK’s opponents inside their own 20-yardline an impressive 13 times last season.

About the National Association of Basketball Coaches
Located in Kansas City, Missouri, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Forrest "Phog" Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of Dr. James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized the coaches into this selective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC has nearly 5,000 members, consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches. All members of the NABC are expected to uphold the core values of being a Guardian of the Game by bringing attention to the positive aspects of the sport of basketball and the role coaches play in the academic and athletic lives of today’s student-athletes. The four core values of being a Guardian of the Game are advocacy, leadership, service and education. Additional information about the NABC, its programs and membership, can be found atwww.nabc.org.
