Looks like the wait is over sooner than we figured it would be. With Kentucky being the last to visit with Perry, you gotta like their chances.

Calipari's in home visit with Perry Ellis

While I was gone on vacation (a much needed one) Calipari had his in home visit with 2012 recruit Perry Ellis. I had a short conversation with Perry's mother Fonda, and this is what she had to say about the visit.

"Visit with coach Cal and Payne and Orlando. They came to our home all dressed up in sport coats.  They looked really nice.  It was a very relaxing visit. We have known Coach Cal and Orlando for over 4 hours.  We know Kentucky we know their style of play there isn’t much we don’t know.

I love to entertain so I enjoyed making chocolate chip pumpkin muffins; we had BBQ smokies and cheese cubes along with a veggie tray and chocolate sheet cake.

Coach just said I would love to coach you I think you would fit great in our system.  You are a good player, student, and young man.

I am not going to promise you anything he said. I tell this to everyone.

We really had a chance to just ask questions. They showed us what the new living quarters was going to look like. They also showed us a DVD high light video.

Coach said that not everyone can play at Kentucky it is a very tough place to play.

Coach Cal left a good impression he is a great recruiter."

Sounds like the Kentucky coching staff left a good impression on Perry and his family. But my opinion, it will be tough to pull him away from Kansas and K-State. We'll have to wait and see how all this plays out. And with no favorite or time table set at this time, it could be a while before we know anything else.
